Grace & Tyler’s Wedding Highlights

We had so much fun filming this wedding video at Lomas Santa Fe Country Club. Grace and Tyler were such a fantastic couple to work with. I have to admit we’ve heard a lot of readings at ceremonies over the years, typically the same ones. And I have to admit we sometimes kind of zone out. Sorry, we really don’t mean to. :-) Not at this one though. They brought our State’s former Poet Laureate to do a reading and I found myself hanging on every word. I mean if someone’s going to read poetry, that’s the guy. But even so, it really drove home the idea that a well chosen poem, read with emotion and care, can be transcendent at a wedding. It’s a nice touch.

As usual with all of our weddings at Lomas, we had an amazing team of vendors on this one for which we are always quite grateful. Add that to a day with an amazing couple and life is perfect!

Darlington House Wedding and Fun Beach Shoot in La Jolla

We had such a great time filming at The Darlington House in La Jolla. We just love its 1920’s era antique style with its huge spiraling staircase, library and gardens. It’s truly elegant. After the ceremony we got some great footage on a lovely little beach shoot. La Jolla always looks good on video! Everything went off without a hitch. Super nice couple and great vendors:

What a great wedding! It was our first time filming at Casa Romantica in San Clemente and hopefully not our last. With its expansive view of the Pacific and early 1900’s California charm it’s pretty hard to beat. Of course filming at the Mission in San Juan Capistrano is always amazing. The textures, backgrounds and light is simply magical. Zac and Gabrielle have to be some of the nicest people we’ve met. They put so much energy into the wedding planning, which really shows in the video and were a blast to work with. Congratulations you guys!

We had so much fun filming this creative wedding at the Catamaran Resort Hotel in Pacific Beach. Carly and Jordan put so much personality into all parts of the wedding. We especially liked the vinyl turntable at the reception with guest’s seating charts printed on 45 rpm records. You could definitely feel the love of all their friends and family. Filming alongside Next to Me Studios Photography (no pun intended) was great! And of course Events Inspired were fabulous, as always!

We loved hearing about this awesome couple’s 14 year journey to this beautiful wedding day at Scripps Sea Side Forum. The letters the wrote to each other was so poetically crafted and “from the heart” that we had a ton of great narrative material to work with for the video. And of course having Bethel of Ceremonies by Bethel brought her amazing officiant mojo to the ceremony always helps too. If that weren’t enough Evelyn of Evelyn Francesca Events and Design and planner extraordinaire seemed to be everywhere at once, setting up decor, keeping everything moving along on schedule and just generally bringing her awesome, as always. Such a great wedding!
