If rain is lucky, Ali & Joe should be hitting the lottery any day now. Rain in San Diego in August? What are the chances? But despite the rather unseasonably damp conditions, Ali and Joe and all of their friends managed to embrace the weather and make it a wonderfully beautiful wedding day. Their sincere and carefully written vows and cards were so great to include in the wedding video. We wish them the best!

Filming a wedding video at the Hilton Torrey Pines is always a great experience. But unless we’re incredibly sneaky and the couple is willing to wear helmets, we don’t normally get to film on the Torrey Pines Golf Course given the dangers of high speed flying white objects . It’s no secret that Michael the groom loves golf (just listen to his brother’s hilarious speech) and, apparently, has some connections. There are so many amazing views out there and for someone who loves golf as much as he does, we were super excited to incorporate that into the video. Also, they were a completely endearing and fun couple to work with who were always completely natural and casual in front of the camera. What more could we ask for?

Beating out the rain by only a few hours, this lovely wedding quickly became something more sunlit and beautiful than expected. Megan and Chris certainly know how to pick a great spot and there are few in San Diego as magical as this in La Jolla. The storm swell brought some amazing tubular waves that curled all day behind the ceremony site. Anyone there who didn’t surf already probably made a vow to start. The wedding ceremony had some of the most heart felt vows and genuine emotion we’ve seen in awhile. It may sound like a wedding video cliche but we truly feel honored to capture the sound and vision of these fleeting and ephemeral, big life moments. You would think after all these years we would become desensitized, but thankfully, we don’t.

We’re always grateful to work with amazing vendors and this wedding had them. Chris and Megan really pulled together a perfect day. Congratulations guys!

What a fabulous wedding with fabulous vendors. Filming at Scripps Seaside Forum never hurts either. Throw in a dash of Estancia for the getting ready and you have all the ingredients for a great wedding. All the hard work Giselle and Jon put into their wedding really paid off. Their first look has to be one of the most emotional and endearing we’ve seen in awhile. Congratulations you guys!

What do you get when you mix traditional Scottish regalia with Tesla Motor Cars, picturesque San Diego Trolleys and spectacular La Jolla weather? Answer: Will and Laura’s fabulous wedding! Besides being all around great folks to begin with, Will’s family’s traditional Scottish kilts and bag piper brought a wonderful authenticity and grace to the entire day. The addition of a pre-production (whiplash fast) Tesla sports car topped it off. Working with the incomparable Maurice from Betwixt Photography is always a pleasure. And Cynthia from CZ Events kept everything on time and running smoothly. Thanks to everybody who made this such a great event! Congratulations Will and Laura on such a splendid wedding!
